Soup Kitchen Service Opportunity

First Baptist Church of Norfolk has been manning the soup kitchen the 4th Sunday of each month for 13 years. We meet at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1:15 and start serving lunch at 1:30. The church is in Ghent at the corner of Colonial and Princess Anne, right behind the 7-11. We serve for an hour and then clean up. We usually serve 125-150 meals each Sunday. Most people eat seconds as this might be their only meal that day. We have regulars each time and have the opportunity to serve "the least of these."
