Fresh off the heels of a fantastic Student Serve, we have Easter Serve! Many great opportunities are in the works for this week, so be sure to find your place and join us:
Student Serve was a great success in so many respects, but we still have some unfinished projects that we would like to see come to fruition. Contact Debbie Hoffius at dhoffius@firstnorfolk.org or call the church for more info on how to get involved at Larkspur, Greenbrier Middle, and other great opportunities!
Daddy Daughter Date Night at North Suffolk's Chickfila will be on Monday, April 18 from 5-7pm. Our church will be supporting the work of Chickfila as they host one of the first Daddy Daughter Date Nights in the region. Volunteers are needed to take orders, hand out roses, and make balloon animals for this special night. Contact cclayton@firstnorfolk.org for information as soon as possible.
Homeless Connect at River Oak Church in Cheapeake is another opportunity for our church to connect and help those in need. This event is essentially where we first connected with the Cuffee Center. Come out and serve on Tuesday, April 19 from 1-5:30pm.
Cuffee Easter Festival will be on Saturday, April 23rd from 2-4pm. There are many opportunities to serve with inflatables, games, Easter egg hunting, etc. Join our Chesapeake Fellowship in reaching out to these families. Contact the missions office or Chesapeake Fellowship for more information.
Gosnold Apartments Easter Celebration will be at 2425 Gosnold avenue in Norfolk at 5pm on Sunday, April 24th. This will be a time of food, fun, and a reminder of the reason that we celebrate Easter. Come serve and see how we have been able to minister at this facility for the chronically homeless.
The ONE movement and Easter card invitations can be given out all week long as we look forward to all that God is going to do at our churches this Easter. Find a busy intersection and share invitation cards with those who walk by...you never know which seed that you plant may bear fruit!
The Student led Soup-kitchen Serve will be on Easter Sunday in the Ghent area of Norfolk. Contact our student ministry to find out more information about their plans to serve meals, gift bags, and Jesus this Easter!
This is just a sample of the many ways that our church is living the mission this Easter. Be sure to find your place to live the mission and join us on this great adventure!
